Description

Boyd is a sweet, mellow 11 year old Lab/Sharpei mix whose owner passed away.  A relative decided to leave Boyd to live outside of a vacant house.  ICARE did their magic and now Boyd is happily living in a foster home with two other dogs.

Boyd blended in right away with his two foster dog companions.  He’s a happy, easy dog.  After a few days at his foster home, he tried out the sofa and liked it.  One of the many things that’s super cute about Boyd is that he often sleeps on his back.

Boyd also likes being brushed.  When you’re done with one side of him, he’ll often turn around on his own so you can get the other side.  I even tried vacuuming him with the attachment and he seemed to like that, too.

Another awesome thing about Boyd is that he can chill out and relax, but when our dogs engage him in play, Boyd is up for it.  Boyd follows his fosters up and down the stairs.  He likes car rides, going to the park, chewing on bully sticks and relaxing around the house waiting for some pets, a brush or vacuum.

Boyd is eleven years old and has plenty of love to give.  He’s a sweet guy who has the mellow of a mature dog and the lighthearted puppy-tude of a young dog.  A perfect combo!

About I.C.A.R.E. Dog Rescue

About Our Rescue Group…

I.C.A.R.E. is an all breed, no kill dog rescue. We rescue dogs at risk of being euthanized from shelters, abandoned, abused, and stray dogs. We also rescue many owner surrendered dogs; which are dogs that can no longer remain in their current homes due to financial or personal issues. I.C.A.R.E. Dog Rescue is dedicated to reducing the number of dogs that are euthanized in our shelters each and everyday. We focus on rescuing and rehabilitating them in loving foster homes until they are adopted into their permanent homes. We also focus on educating the public regarding specific breeds, rescue, and general information regarding the canine species. We are a 100% volunteer run and supported organization that cannot survive without the help of loving fosters, volunteers, and benefactors.
